March 23, 2005 - Progress, and more buds
One part of the most progressed bloom.

One part of the most progressed bloom.

Description : Each part of a bluebonnet starts with a white center. Once fertilized, the center turns red. Bluebonnets are fertilized by bees, and bees are unable to see red, so they are no longer attracted to the fertilized, red-centered sections of the blooms.
